Remove Post Meta from Category Archive Pages in a Genesis Theme in WordPress

If you want to remove Post Meta like author, post date, tags, category name in your Genesis site, you can do in two ways...

Function.php file

Paste below snippet in your functions.php file to remove Post Meta from Archive page

This will not work for Home page

// Remove Post Info, Post Meta from Archive Pages
function themeprefix_remove_post_meta() {
	if (is_archive()) {
		remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_post_info', 12 );
		remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_post_meta' );
		}
}
add_action ( 'genesis_entry_header', 'themeprefix_remove_post_meta' );

Style.css file

Paste below CSS line in your style.css file to remove Post Meta...

Remove from home page

.home .entry-meta {
	display:none;
}

Remove from Archive page

.category .entry-meta {
	display:none;
}

Remove from specific Category. Change 'xxxx' to your category slug.

.category .category-xxxx .entry-meta {
	display:none;
}

Remove from tag page.

.tag .entry-meta {
	display:none;
}

Remove from specific tag. Change 'xxxx' to your tag name.

.tag-xxxx .entry-meta {
	display:none;
}

Remove from search page.

.search .entry-meta {
	display:none;
}
